Sunset at EGRIP

Nico tapping the top of the window to avoid drafts and snow during winter.

The last days at EGRIP we can observe the sun disc creeping below the horizon at midnight. His year we have had many evenings with ground fog, but at this last night at EGRIP the sky was clear and we could see the sun dip. With all the packing and moving it can be hard to stay awake until midnight so this picture is taken from the bed in the new Pisten Bully – out the back window.

What we did today:

  1. Moved all sledges to winterhills.
  2. Moves Flexmobil to winterhill.
  3. Changed from main generator to 30 kv generator in garage.
  4. Placed bastu in main dome.
  5. Took down the satellite disc and thus camp internet.
  6. Parked two PistenBully in carpenters and mechanic garages.
  7. Closed concert hall and freezer.

10 in camp (since August 15th)

Weather today: Morning fog clearing to scattered clouds. Temperatures between -25 and -30°C. Wind 5-8 kt from W.
