Saturday Mission day

Beautiful iced tracks on the skiway by Skier 61.

After the excitement Friday and the good luck that the Skier did not make it Friday, we were very ready for a mission this Saturday. The Skier arrived to camp at 13:40 local and the coordinated actions of lifting the 40 ice core boxes to the surface, building the ice core pallet, driving the Flexmobil onboard, loading the ice core pallet, defueling from the Skier to the EGRIP fuel tanks, showing the camp to our guests from Arctic Hub and two from the Skier crew, preparing lunch boxes for the Skier crew and handling communication and weather observations went well. Skier 61 took off in the first attempt with a load of more than 20.000 lbs and strong cross wind.
Well done and thanks from EGRIP. See the beautiful tracks from the Skier on the skiway. Also, a congratulations to Sverrir for preparing the skiway so well.
We said goodbye to Steff, Trevor, Derryn, Nan, Martin, Chiara and Charlotte – we will miss you. Hello to Sune, Josephine, Louise and Jeppe – great to have you here.
